Conference Recap: SMPS SRC was a Marketing Fiesta to Remember

At this year’s Southern Regional Conference (SRC), Julie Shaffer, CPSM, led two sessions aimed at the creative and efficient uses of InDesign.

Julie, an Adobe Certified Expert in InDesign CC, focused on compelling graphics and layout/design tips in the following sessions:

• In her presentation, Visualize Your Content – Turn Your Firm’s Messages into Compelling Infographics, Julie spoke to a large crowd on how to make submittals stand out from the competition through easy-to-understand visuals. The session included the basic structure of infographics and tools to visualize data, while exploring ways to turn messages into compelling graphic elements.
• Julie’s second presentation, Digital Lab on InDesign, provided a hands-on learning opportunity for participants. Julie led the group as they followed along on their laptops through sample files for scripts, styles, and GREP. They also learned about hidden features and tips for easier layout and design. Julie demonstrated her favorite quick tips for expediting your workflow and making proposal development more efficient and consistent.
