Julie Shaffer to Speak at SMPS Southwest Regional Conference

Julie Shaffer, CPSM, will lead an upcoming session at the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) 2019 Southwest Regional Conference (SWRC). Julie, an Adobe Certified Expert in InDesign CC, will focus on compelling graphics and layout/design tips in Adobe InDesign.

In her session titled, “Visualize Your Content – Turn Your Firm’s Messages into Compelling Infographics,” Julie will discuss the basic structure of infographics, cover tools to create and visualize data, and explore ways to turn your firm’s messages into compelling graphic elements. The session is scheduled for Thursday, September 19 from 1:40-3:10 p.m. and will include interactive discussion and group activities to distill company messages into graphic elements.

During the session, attendees will:

  • Learn the importance of visuals in communication
  • Understand visual composition
  • Turn messages into infographics with purpose
  • Learn the seven key content areas that can be reimagined
  • Discover tools and resources for infographic development

Julie is a go-to expert for hands-on learning. An Adobe Certified Expert in InDesign CC and respected industry leader, she has presented at national conferences on branding, marketing/communications strategy, and proposal development. She is a past president and current member of SMPS Fort Worth.
