InDesign Workshop: Beyond the Basics
On April 24, the SMPS Orange County (OC) Chapter is hosting an InDesign Workshop featuring Julie Shaffer, CPSM, Adobe Certified Expert in InDesign CC. Attendees will learn better workflow and new skills in this combined intermediate and advanced training session.
The hands-on, interactive course will cover a variety of topics, including intermediate design concepts in the morning session such as:
- How to Create Project Sheets, Resumes, Schedules, and Organizational Charts with Paragraph, Character, and Object Styles
- How to Use Next and Nested Styles, as well as Cell and Table Styles
- How to Create Table of Contents and Use CC Libraries
- How to Implement Best Practices and Tips and Tricks
Advanced training topics for the afternoon session will cover:
- How to Use Scripts, GREP, Conditional Text, Text Variables and Effects
- How to Develop Custom Dictionaries
- How to Interface between Word + InDesign
- How to Implement Best Practices and Tips and Tricks
