InDesign for Marketers Course Provides Hands-on Practice and Takeaways

Are you a marketer who uses InDesign for proposals, collateral and everything in between? Do you find yourself short on time and juggling multiple projects simultaneously? If you want to improve your skills but can’t seem to find the time, then Shaffer Creative’s software training is for you.

Shaffer Creative provides small group software training to maximize efficiency on marketing projects. Led by Julie Shaffer, CPSM, Certified Adobe InDesign Expert in CC 2015, classes are focused on customized lessons with hands-on work and group interaction throughout the day.

On August 23, 2018, Julie led a session on Beginning InDesign for Marketers. Participants worked directly on their laptops as Julie guided attendees through setting up their workspace, panels and settings as well as pages, swatches, frames and styles. Group interaction and ongoing Q&A kept each attendee on track, while everyone worked together on putting their newly acquired skills to use.

Shaffer Creative’s InDesign course was extremely helpful in learning shortcuts, tips and tricks for how to best use InDesign. Julie was a great instructor and not only showed us how to efficiently work in InDesign, but she also reinforced our knowledge by having us repeat each lesson. It was an effective method that helped me learn the right way to properly set up my workspace in ID, and I know it will definitely help me be more efficient in the future when working on proposals! -Cara Pilgrim, Baird, Hampton & Brown

Future class topics will cover Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop/Lightroom and additional InDesign training, including a session on September 14 covering Intermediate InDesign for Marketers. Contact us for more information on upcoming courses. Space is limited to allow for one-on-one interaction with Julie and small group Q&A.

Julie did a great job at meeting everyone at their own level. Even though it was a beginner class, beginner means different things for different people. She had the skill and patience to make it understandable for everyone around the table. -Stephanie Zavala, Rogue Water
