Attention Professional Services Marketers: Here are Our Favorite New Features in Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) 2019 Release

If you’ve been following our Facebook and Twitter pages, we’ve been sharing Adobe’s recent posts on new updates to Adobe CC 2019. We’re excited! The update was released earlier in October, so plan to update your machine soon to take advantage of plenty of new features.

Our own Julie Shaffer, a self-professed InDesign nerd, is totally geeking out on some of these new features, and you’ll be hearing more about them in her training sessions. For all professional services marketers who use Adobe software for layout and design of submittals, collateral and everything in between, we’ve compiled a shortlist of what we believe are some of the most beneficial features to make our lives a little easier:

InDesign

• New Paragraph Styles Spacing Feature – This is our favorite part of the update. You can now ignore spacing for paragraphs of the same style. This is especially handy for bulleted lists where you want space before and after the full list, but not between each line item. You will definitely hear more about this one in Julie’s training sessions!
• Content-Aware Fit for Images – This new feature will auto resize images and fit them based on the best part of the image.
• Layout Adjustment Tools – There’s also a new smart layout tool that will help you resize your document – images and text included – based on final printer specs so you don’t have to adjust every element yourself if your final document size changes.
• PDF Comments Cross-Reference – If you receive markups from technical staff using PDF markups, those comments can be directly imported into your InDesign text to accept changes and revise your text. This has the potential to be a huge time saver!

Fonts

• Typekit is now Adobe Fonts – You can now access all fonts (15,000+) for web and desktop use with your Creative Cloud subscription.
